Why should I buy myself a Cricut Cutting Machine?
Should I buy a Cricut, you may be saying to yourself? Will I use it much? Will I be able to use it? Is it difficult to use? What will I do with it? These will be just some of the questions you will be asking yourself, and I will do my best to answer for you.
So, the first thing is will I use it much. I know we have all started a hobby, and weeks and months down the line, have got bored of them. Well, using a Cricut is different simple because of what you can do with it. There is such a vast variety of items you can make to keep you interested. You can make something as simple as a greeting card through to designing and making your own t-shirts.
Will I use it much?
Imagine every time your kids need a new costume for a school dress-up day, and you could make it. If you need a gift, make something personalized and unique. You forgot to buy a Birthday card from the store, make your own. These are just a few times it would come in useful.
Is it easy to use?
Like all things, there is a learning curve, but because the Cricut has been around for so long, there are 1000’s of YouTube videos for you to learn from.
Also, as materials are quite cheap, I prefer the trial and error method myself. It is not the sort of machine that you can easily break, so get it out of the box and give it a go!
So, there are some of the basic questions answered.
Are you still interested? Good!
Now, you’re going to be saying to yourself, which machine do I need?
For a beginner, I would recommend the Cricut Explore Air 2.
These are now available for under $200 and are a great entry-level machine. It can cut over 100 different materials, so it will definitely keep you entertained for a while. Some of my favorite things to cut are HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) which is used to decorate T-shirts, fabric items, and tote bags. Also, glitter paper, which makes awesome greeting and birthday cards.
Those unsure of what they want to make are able to get a month’s trial to Cricut’s Design Space Projects. This is an area full of things you can make with your Cricut that are already designed for you to use.
So, in conclusion, yes, you should buy a Cricut Cutting Machine.
It is the sort of hobby that is always evolving and if you wanted to make something different every day you could.
Cost wise, compared to some hobbies, it is not going to break the bank but more importantly it could lead to bigger things and could turn into a home business for you! Worst case scenario it will just be something for you to use when you want to relax.
